To create Wooden Rooster, we took Velvet Rooster, our Belgian-style Tripel, and aged it in rye whiskey barrels, giving it an oaky vanilla finish.
Tasting notes: Pours a deep gold color with a lofty, pure white head; clean and crisp, with subtle fruit and floral notes and a touch of candy-like sweetness; slight spice in flavor; rye whiskey, vanilla and oak prominent in aroma and flavor.
Wooden Rooster was an Explorer Series release of 2015 and available in more limited quantities. It will not return in 2016, but never say never…
