Tallgrass Brewing Company was founded in 2007 with goal of bringing quality craft beers to the Midwest. Located near the Flint Hills in Manhattan, Kansas, Tallgrass now offers a full line of award-winning craft beers. In 2010 Tallgrass switched from bottles to 16 oz. cans. In 2015, Tallgrass moved into its new 60,000-square-foot brewing facility, tripling the capacity of its original facility and establishing it as a major regional brewery.
The Tallgrass Tap House, a 5,900-square-foot brewpub and full-service restaurant with seating for 280, is set to open in June 2015. With three separate bars, each with 20 taps, the Tap House will feature all Tallgrass brands, several new beers brewed on-site and guest taps from other breweries. Tallgrass core brands include PUB ALE, an English mild ale; 8-BIT, hop-rocketed American pale ale; BUFFALO SWEAT, oatmeal cream stout; ETHOS, a dry-hopped India pale ale; 16-BIT double pale ale; and VELVET ROOSTER Belgian-style Tripel. Seasonal brands include HALCYON unfiltered American wheat, ZOMBIE MONKIE post-apocalyptic porter and VANILLA BEAN BUFFALO SWEAT, oatmeal cream stout brewed with vanilla beans.
We have a great beer finder app on the Tallgrass beer finder page. The states we are distributing to include: North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri, Illinois, Oklahoma, Alabama, Arkansas, and Mississippi. More states are being added all the time.
In the near future Tallgrass will introduce barrel-aged beers and sour beers to its growing portfolio of high quality and innovative craft beers. All Tallgrass beers are sold in kegs and cans in 13 states.
